What Our Fees Cover
Our fixed fees for guilty pleas, special reasons and exceptional hardship hearings cover taking your initial instructions, reviewing prosecution evidence, preparing your case, advising on plea and sentence, and representation at a single hearing before Leeds Magistrates' Court.
Our fixed fees for trial matters additionally cover witness statements, instructing experts if necessary, representation at initial hearing and trial, and advice on sentence and appeal.
What Our Fees Do Not Cover
- The cost of instructing an independent expert or obtaining medical reports
- Assistance and representation in relation to any appeal
- Travel outside the Leeds area — charged at £100 per hour + VAT
- Disbursements such as mileage (45p per mile from our office) and parking
Payment of fees is required in full in advance of any court hearing.
Legal Aid
Legal Aid is not available for most motoring offences unless there is a genuine risk of imprisonment. We will advise you on funding options at your initial consultation.
